    Re: Artists?

This is a painting that we have currently hanging in our living room that I painted back in the early 1990's while I was working at an art gallery, I sold many paintings their but I did keep this one, as I liked how the imaginary hybrid hummingbirds turned out, I believe it was 1992 but the frame is covering the date down by my signiture and my memory isn't that great.

    No kidding. Thats really something.

I can draw some darn fine pictures, but the hardest things for me are big, vast whatevers. Like that.

Just a few sketches I made a few years back. I'm way out of practice these days.

People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually, from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey stuff.

    Re: Artists?

Wow, everyone's art is really good looking

Jeff, I really like how the picture gets less detailed as it gets away from the hummingbirds and goes into a lot of heavy texture and gets an almost abstract look near the corners. I know how difficult it can be to make an entire canvas 'pop' like that when the main subject is so small. Really great painting!

    Re: Artists?

Looking through my pics to upload to another thread I found this! Figured I might as well put it up.. Sorry for the blurriness and part of my reflection in it, but it's behind glass... It's my dog, Bear.

The writing in the corner is part of a poem called "To John, My Collie" and it says "Perhaps they will not want me there, perhaps not want you otherwhere, and so once more our way we'll wend, to outer darkness friend and friend, nor want for any light we two, for you have me and I have you".
