Good looking snake, it's good that she's eating right away

Haha, I think maybe they're always trying to escape. It's like their favorite activity or something...

    She's much calmer now.

Funny thing is, that even when she was trying to escape, she happily ate what I did offer. Anyway, Kleo poked the fence once or twice, then let it go. Izy (this is now official short name of Isis) is still trying. Kleo is much like Amon; most of the time lying in her hide - she goes out when she's hungry, lay on the root (under the heat source) to speed up her digesting process and stare at water dish, when she really wants to eat. Izy is nothing like that. But it's her first day at school.

Yes, she is. Few minutes ago I offered her very small smelt. She ate it without hestitation. So, today she ate: 2 small smelts, one pinkie. How often should I feed her? She's around 40 cm long.

    Re: Isis' diary.

Wow, you copied/pasted my signature as i changed it... close one.

I feed my baby snakes very little peices, so it gets digested faster, and i can feed them the next day or two I think they grow faster with really frequent feeding.

i really don't know how to answer that.... but adult eats twice a week, but eats a lot every time, my babies eat almost every day, and eat a lot, but very small easy to digest peices...

I think a good meal 3 times a week or something like that would work.... feed her when she's hungry.

Feeding a garter when they are hungry means twice a day
