have just got back from holiday feel wiped out and i'm off to bed, i was going to leave it until tomorrow before commenting on the ,Richard trial proceedings, as after a very brief look for the comments which have upset people i could not find them, i will hopefully put that right tomorrow, just wanted to say that considering banning someone is not a step that should be taken lightly, and my view on Richard is that yes he is often contentious and occasionally blunt in his contributions but for my part i have always considered him as one of the senior members of Thamnophis.com i don't mean senior in age or the time he has been a member, but senior in the sense of contribution, the willingness not just to answer the many queries that continually come up but his tenacity in answering them, replying time and again until he has gotten over the information needed.
he may be somewhat blunt in manner but there can't be too many members who are more dedicated to thamnophis.com
    I'm not actually a gynecologist...but i'll take a look.

I have 3 chorus frogs now... Frogger, Big Legs(my boyfriend named him) and Flinch (my friend named him)
Frogger and big legs have been eating lots of flies, and I even got Big Legs to eat some cut up night crawler. Big legs eats probably 10 baby flies a day.

Thank you PINJOHN, and thanks to everyone who PM'd me with words of support. I know my methods, ways, and sometimes my words are not exactly popular but there are a few people who truly understand me and what I'm really trying to do here.

It's not all one way and everyone against me you know. Many of you don't know that because these people tend to stay rather quiet on the forum, or say their words of agreement in private. Some people see what I'm trying to do and I do stick my neck out and "ask for it" in the process. They're just not willing to do the same and I can't blame them for that. They can see what the result is so I can't blame them one bit.

When the rains start up again and you can tiny earthworms, your frogs will thrive on them Chantel. They're like pinkies are to snakes. Flies are just "worms" to them, but actual worms really fatten them up and make them grow.

Yeah, we don't have many small earthworms here when it rains. But, frogger had eaten before I offered the worms. Right now, I have about 100 flies, so until we find some "mini's", they'll be eating those.

They have a natural planted enclosure, so it would be nice to get some earth worms to be in there... But Big Legs would probably eat them all up... He'd eat until he exploded.

I found it much easier to maintain their enclosure and keep it clean (mold and stink-free) by just keeping it bare with about a half inch of clean water in the bottom, and some house plant cuttings in the water. Then I could change the water when it gets nasty. They spent most of their time up on the side, or in the plants anyway.

A planted terrarium with potting soil and just a large water dish is fine but after a while, you'll start to have bacteria/mold problems and will stink. You definitely don't want to add worms to that mix because if just one of them dies... well, you know.

These frogs wont dig for worms. But they will snatch them up if they see them wiggling in clear water.

I haven't had any problems so far. They seem to enjoy digging, and all the care sheets said to keep some sort of diggable substrate in there with them. I find them in a little shallow "nest" together at night. It's quite cute.

That behavior is usually done in a land setting, as a survival tactic when the humidity is low enough (evaporation rate is high) that their skin can't stay moist enough. Digging in helps them keep from drying out. Nothing wrong with that, I'm just saying they're highly adaptable and have different behaviors and tactics that really depend on the conditions. They're perfectly happy with not digging too, if there is water under them and high humidity, they don't feel the need to dig.

My enclosure had very high humidity. I mean, it would sweat on the inside sometimes. Under those conditions, they don't need to dig, and spend all their time sitting up in the plants or on the side. Then I just drop little worms in the water at the bottom and watch them go crazy eating them. They'll actually scoop them out of the water and into their mouths using their "hands".

All their little poopies drop into the water, making it easy to keep it sanitary with simple water changes.

I keep they're container very humid, enough to keep it sweating, but also dry enough that there isn't mold growing. They dig even when it's very damp in there. It doesn't seem to be the fact that it's too dry. I know when there isn't enough humidity when they sit in the water for more than 5 minutes, because if I mist, they're out and about.
They eat the flies off my hand, I put a few in my palm and they climb on to my and grab them. It's pretty cute.

They also like to leave their logs of poop on the side of the enclosure, so it's easy for me to clean up.

She likes them, but she doesn't want to touch them, feed them or clean the tank. Kind of like me, when I was a kid and got hamsters, I never wanted to pick up after them, so the care got pushed onto her... And now that she wants a pet, she loves looking at them... But wants nothing to do with them other than that.
