Aww, such a cute dog Our cats do the same thing, they've lived in the same house as the snakes for years, but as soon as they see one, it's madness lol.

Has anyone ever kept a five-lined skink?

I have one that's doing weird things with his eye... A baby. Thought I'd try to keep him for awhile. I've done this before, they are abundant here. But only for a few days. Watch him eat, let him go.

    Thanks.

Oh. Because you know, it seems to me that, aside
from being a little mentally ill, she's pretty normal.

Same as you, only kept them for a few days after a cat-attack. What's it doing with its eye?

Probably nothing to be concerned with, but he won't open it all the way, and it keeps closing. His other (left) doesn't.

I really like these guys, have sat outside and watched the colony that lives undery porch (haven't seen them this year) and wouldn't mind keeping some. NOT temerary.

Do they need additional heat? My house is 78 (82 in afternoon) do they need something more than that?

I haven't seen many this year either, which is a bit odd. The only one I've seen my dog sniffed out..

I'd think those temps should be find. A lot like what's outside, just without the really high temps. What do you feed the ones you keep? I've always used crickets and cut up nightcrawler bits.

Never tried worms. Don't think that's a very natural food. But If it works...
I feed crickets, mealworms. With this guy I may have to feed wingless flies unless theybhave small enough crickets
