    Re: New arrivals

Well, the person I plan to give them to, would give them a perfect home, so I'm not too worried. I know they'll be in good hands. It makes it easier to say goodbye to them.

    Re: New arrivals

Pumpkin ate her first worm today. I like to keep their diet varied and offer worm, fish, snail and pinkies to them all the time. Pumpkin will only eat pinkies. While some people might think that there isn't anything wrong with it, I really prefer them eating as many healthy food items possible. But, I got her to eat fish and worm! Yay! She took the fish first, but when I offered an unscented worm piece she flattened her head and did a false strike at it and hid. She ate a scented piece after that. These babies are weird. I got them started on fish, but the first few offerings were worm, their natural food, but they all acted as if it were a predator.

I also pulled some strings with my mom and I'll be keeping the runt of the bunch, Dots. I've also decided to rename him to Azul, because of his blue colouring. He eats really well and is active and tame, but he's also really frail and has continued to get worse as time goes on. It makes me sad, but I'm hoping a little tlc might help him.

I do too, he gets fed more often (but in less amounts because of size) and I try not to handle him too much. He's a sweet little guy though. He's the kind of baby that's happy to explore your hand a little before curling up and sleeping.

He rejected food this last feeding, but he was fed yesterday, so I'm hoping he's just not hungry. He's lasted a few months already so he better start getting healthy!

    Re: New arrivals

Speckles shed today, yay! But, the only problem is he still has the head part of his shed stuck on him. I put him in a container with a warm damp cloth for 30 minutes, misted the tank and put him back before I went to bed, but he hasn't gotten it off, so I'm going to do it. The only problem is, I cant find where to start it. The only area where I can tell there is shed, is on his neck and I cant pull it from the back, that would hurt him. What should I do?

I got Speckles' shed off the day after, I just didn't update it. Now, his twin, Spots has retained his shed. The little guy wasn't eating today, so I picked him up and looked him over and noticed the wrinkles. He's in a humid box right now. He's really scared. I feel bad for him.

I do too. Spots is one of the best eaters in the bunch. Him and Speckles are the big piggies.

Azur hasn't grown at all, I still have to cut the "baby sized" pieces in half just for him to be able o grab them. He's a good eater, though.

I got part of the shed off his nose and lips. He isn't agreeing with my method of getting the shed off, but it has to... Poor little guy. He's exhausted.
