No, they're not. The one I was holding was just one of a pair. And they had a clutch of eggs which hatched about 3 days after that pic was taken last summer. They belonged to forum member "redspot".

Those babies "flew out the door"

If I had a lot of room and could set up at least a 6X8 foot enclosure, I would own a cribo in heartbeat. They're wonderful snakes. Everything we love about garter snakes, but much bigger.

(not a yellow tail, but one awesome sweet cribo for sure)
Magnificent snakes, too bad that its almost impossible to get these here where I live I always wanted a Drymarchon but not lucky

    Odd milk snake

I caught a very skinny milksnake, while I was on the phone at the same time, in my bedroom. I've had her about a month. Shes two feet long and much healthier, strong eater since day one. Shes remarkably docile. Never struck at me, musked or anything, but doesn't really like to be held, she just keeps moving. i moved her to a 7 1/2 gallon bin about a week ago. She was fine for a few days, has eaten two mice, but today she seems to be chewing at the walls of the plastic a bit. I'm not sure what threw her off. I did add a heated corner but she seemed to love it, next morning shes chewing on the walls. (I removed it.)

Any thoughts? I can't see any teeth either, how small are they? She doesn't have any striking behavior, she just slithers up and kinda pokes things til she decides its food and just eats it.

I can't help ya, never kept a milk. I can tell you that the teeth are tiny, and barely visible, but there's lots of em. The lack of striking the food is normal.

I keep several.. what species of milk snake is it?

    A picture would certainly help.

Also before a mod steps in, try sSnakeSs.com , the forum is owned by the same person as this one, but it is a more generalized herp forum and not Thamnophis specific like this one.

We have a wide variety of milk snake owners there.

Meet Frogger... My mom caught him and said he was too cute to freeze and feed to the snakes, so she put him in a tank and he's her little pet. Isn't he cute? He's a Pacific chorus frog.
