OK. I'll take your word for it. But it does look more like a coachwhip than any yellow tail cribo I've ever seen.

Cribo's are awesome though. Just like an oversized garter snake.

(not a yellow tail, but one awesome sweet cribo for sure)

Yeah, that one I'm holding was a real sweetie, and that was the smaller of the two. They were really inquisitive and seemed very intelligent. Real "snuggle bugs" too. They seemed to enjoy the handling and interaction. They had every personality aspect that I love, in common with garter snakes.

Yes it's a pair of Yellowtail Cribos (& the last one is an Eastern Indigo).
Richard is that a D. m. melanurus or D. m. unicolor you're holding? Looks like a Black tail to me but hard to tell in the pic.

Cribos can be a handful for a lot of keepers & intimidating as well & due to the potential size some get (10'+ it's said for the Yellowtails), crazy feeding responses, and garter-like activity levels. Those that keep cobras find them very comparable in "intelligence" and the way they move and act as well. Awesome snakes that I feel extremely fortunate to now keep.
Bushsnake I gotta ask, why did you ever stop?

As for Coachwhips I agree that most keepers wouldn't be able to keep them, but I do have a friend out East who kept and sucessfully bred them. I believe he was also keeping them in 8' long cages as well though.
