Any chance you can put a small container full of moist paper towel in the enclosure. Cut a couple holes in it so the babies can get in.
This way you can keep them hydrated if they are born while your away.
Do you have anyone that can come and remove the babies if they are born?

    Be safe on your trip.

Don't sweat it, several times I have come home from 4-5 days of turkey hunting/camping/fishing in the spring to find babies had been born while I was gone.
It will be nice coming home to babies

you know she will give birth while you're away fishing, but she wouldn't if you stayed and waited

A fellow turkey hunter, I never knew! Do you hunt anything else? I just spent a day blasting crows, its a great way to stay sharp!

Um.. becuase they're pests and it's fun. And my dog (a bird dog/hunting dog) LOVES it, i usually do that with him, rather than "fetch". I don't go do it anywhere, i shoot the squirrels in my yard because they overrun the place, and are freaking pests. I like squirrels, and i don't kill them unless i need too. The crows... for my dog, I'll say. I shoot starlings because they are pests

I was facing the same issue, going out of town for 2 weeks right around the time babies should be born. I hadn't found a solution yet when my albino checkered gave birth to 25 healthy snakelets and 2 days later my red sided girl popped, delivering 11 healthy and (unfortunately) 18 stillborn babies. So for me it worked out, now the newbies are been cared for by a friend during my absence and hopefully all will make it. I hope you find a sollution for your dillemma, Charles, and all will be well.
