Fish Jello
Ok, so I've seen several places online that have talked about a fish jello. Has anyone used this, and what did you think about it? If your garters liked it, do you have a recipe with inexpensive ingredients? Thanks!

Re: Fish Jello
Is fish jello any safer than using just fish? Or are all the parasite threats still there?

Re: Fish Jello
From what I've read, the jello gets frozen and that eliminates the parasite risk. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Re: Fish Jello
Length of time and the temp. it is stored at seem to determine whether all parasites are killed.
Longer, colder temps are best.
Here's a link to an article I found:
Of course this article only talks about nemotodes.

Re: Fish Jello
I used it for a couple of years as well & it worked great. I stopped when I found out that my snakes would take the fish with vitamins without needing to make the jell-o. Makes it much easier, the jell-o can be quite messy to make. Essentially it's just an easy method to administer their vitamins, but if they'll eat the dusted fish without having to make the jell-o it's much easier.
