Re: Local news article on garter hibernaculum.
I was just interested to see it in the local paper, they don't usually have anything about snakes in there, other than the occasional article for hikers, especially in certain areas, to remember to wear high boots, in case of being bit by a rattler.
Too many snakes! 15 species and counting. 2.2 plus Crested geckos 2.2 Gargoyle geckos 0.2 Chihuahua 2.1 evil cats.

You guys can have the place if you want. I prefer to have a place with a clean, drinkable water supply. I may like keeping Little Dude and Scarlett, but I'm not going to drink their enclosure water.
People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually, from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey stuff.

I doubt the snakes are the cause of the water problems.
It's just makes for a more sensational story.
Blame the snakes.

well water is generally a lot deeper than any snake poo can get....and they don't musk when they crap either... just something else to make them seem worse...

The real shame is that at some point I'm willing to bet that house will get burned down to collect insurance money.

Re: Local news article on garter hibernaculum.
I don't think so. The bank already outlined their plan and that's what generated this latest news release and renewed discussion. Due to all the publicity, the snakes will be treated humanely. They hired someone to trap as many as they can when they return this fall. They will be relocated and then they will make repairs to the house so that they cannot get back in. At least, that's the plan.
