Since they are a reptile eater and can be cannibalistic you are right to not house them together.

Would love to see a photo of her in the Other pets(non-garter) thread

It's a male, not female, that's why there is hope that Kleo will ever reach his size.

And of course I'll post some photos of him, but not now, becase he is still digesting his last meal (I don't want to disturb him in his hideout) - and it's dark in here, because it's night in Poland.

Gosh, it sounded like we don't have an artifical light in Poland. Forget what I said about night.

Yay! Kleo just ate a pinkie! I had to trick her with my old trick with swordtail but eventually she ate one. God, I'm so happy!

Thanks to Lucky (swordtail fish). God, he must hate his job. But we all must work for our food and shelter, don't we?

Anyway, I'm just wondering... Do ribbons remember the taste of their meal and connect it to the smell? I mean Kleo is hunting swordtails and by mistake eats other stuff. So, when a snake eats something by mistake, will he next time eat it without tricking him? The thing is, can he, after his meal, recognise the smell of this stuff he just ate and understand, that it's edible? We all know that snake is sniffing the air with his tongue. Do he smells what he just ate (without false scent of fish)?
