    Talking New Marcianus

Tomorrow I will (hopefully) be bringing home some checkereds!

I was browsing around, and came across some quite near to me, only about an hour away (which makes a change!) which are already feeding on pinkies, so it's too good to pass up. Most seem to be on f/t trout fillet, which is a road I wanted to avoid going down again, even if it were only temporary.
I'm going to see them in person tomorrow, so hopefully they'll be happy and healthy and I'll be able to bring some home.

They haven't been sexed yet, so that'll be the fun part, but I'm fairly confident in the knowledge I have collected from here. Whenever someone posts a picture for sexing on here, I seem to come to the same conclusion... hopefully I have learned well enough! Hoping to get girls again.

The big question now is - do I get 2 or 3? The double viv is 3" by 1 1/3" and would be fine for 3 babies, but I don't think enough for 3 full-grown girls?
The bottom tank is reserved for 2 melanistic sirtalis, but I do also have a large glass tank which I could seperate into if needs be.
And I could always up-size when they grow...

I am sooooo excited! Tinged with a little sadness, of course, but yes - can't wait for my new guests!
I will post photos once they're here.

Ok, here they are! Sorry about the picture quality, but my camera struggles with zooming enough.
Our two new handsome boys -

    Ska (named by my husband):

He looks like Alice Cooper in that pic.

    And Patton (named by myself):

A bit more body visible on this one of Patton, but the lighting sucks:

They're about a year and a half old, but pretty small (I've been so used to girls!).
They got settled in to their new home and chomped down a pinky each on first offer! It seems like moving house was no obstacle to their appetite. Happy little fatties is exactly what I want.
