I have a condition!
Can't find worms!!!
This is really annoying, and strange. I have 3 acres of woods, and lots more yard... but i can't find a single freaking worm!! I need them to feed to my babies! I search for an hour, and can't find anything! I went out, the night of a rain and nothing. It's frustrating cause they're supposed to be easy to find.
How do you guys find worms? Do you just lift suff, dig etc.? Or do you do something more??
Is there anything i can do, like set up something that "attracts" them??
It's probably the same reason most people find a bunch of garters, and i've only found 1 my whole life. SOMEONE hates me.

Try putting a rug or sheet of plywood on the ground in a shaded area.

Re: Can't find worms!!!
I bought a worm farm kit for the kids, and it recommended jumping around on the ground, hitting the ground, or possibly playing music over a speaker on the ground, as it simulates the sound of rainfall - to which the worms (supposedly) should be attracted. It did say that you may then need to dig down a little and that you're more likely to find them at night.
I can't swear to the effectiveness of this, as I haven't tried it yet, but may be worth a try?

I read somewhere that Wood Turtles rock from side to side which causes the worms to come out.
Got any Wood Turtles?

It's so annoying because i used to see so many worms here, for YEARS, and than when i actually NEED THEM, none.

I've never seen them for sale.
They seem to be rather fragile and hard to keep. I can't get them to live in a bin.
The good thing is my snakes eat them fasted than I can catch and store them.

You can try soaking an area with the hose to see if any will come up.

Try some other locations. Other than the ones you've checked.
If you go out at night with a flashlight do you see any night crawlers out?
