Here's the contest. Name my pair of Black-necked garters. The small one is the male(3rd photo,left) and the larger(4th photo, right) is the female.
You must enter a pair of names at the same time. One entry per member.
One entry will chosen as the winner. The winner will be decided by my oldest daughter Emmy.
The winner will win an oil painted portrait of one of their snakes. The winner will supply me the photo and I will have it painted.
I have commissioned one of my former students to do the work. A sample of his work will be posted in this thread.
The contest will end on May 31st at 6pm (central time) and a winner will be chosen soon after.

Sweeeeeeeeeet. Can't wait to get the painting to put in my snake room, that is totally awesome, nobody appreciates artwork more than my wife and I. Thanks so much Steve and Emmy. I actually have to give credit to my wife, she's the one that came up with the names as she definately follows the royalty more than me, I'm more the forest dwelling Robin Hood type, he he
Now what snake should I have painted hmmmm first to mind is the late great Ruby or my current favorite red-sided named Lime, I will have to think on it a bit.
