I never really noticed how many flowering trees everyone around here has. There are the lilacs, the tulip trees, japanese cherry, weeping willow, forsythia, and the pink and white dogwood. Absolutely beautiful.

Great looking snakes. How were their attitudes?

Actually the gloves Dorothy had on were quite unnecessary. I picked them both up without incident.

The smaller of the two was still hiding under the board today, I held her for a short while, she is full of eggs, she was lumpy inside.

So I put the board back down and gently let her crawl back up under it.

She never attempted to bite or musk either.

Got some more shots of wild specimens. After I first lifted the board
up, the milk snake became defensive, her tail was buzzing the ground and she held her head in this "cocked and ready" stance like she was going lash at me at any moment.

The garter snake just sat there chilling out the whole time like nothing was even going on.
