    Thanks Wayne.
I must concur. Not much of a cat person myself. Especially a spastic techno-dancing cat that clearly has been living on Mercury laden fish. A "Mad Catter" I suppose.

The little male ate again today(guppies).
I offered a scented pinky and he almost took it but stopped short of grabbing it. It had a different mouth feel and he refused.
The larger female is still holding out.
No concerns here as she just needs a little more time.

Those are such nice looking snakes. I'vehad so many garters but never black necks. There on my Wish list now. I'm sure she'll eat soon. Have you tried a worm yet?

Still not sure if the female is eating.
The guppies I put in the water dish were gone in the morning and the worm chunks from this evening are half gone.
I know the male is definitely eating, the pig.

    Re: T.radix Ranch Blacknecks

    The evidence:
Last night I placed a food dish under their hide. In the dish was fresh salmon and worm chunks. Checking once before bed I found no food touched and a rather normal sized female Black-neck.
This morning I found an empty food dish and a rather plump looking female blackneck.
I feel I have a proponderance of evidence to rule.
I now have an eating female Black-neck.
