Good choice, Josh. I have 1.2 T. radix. They're nice snakes.

People say that they are just about the calmest and friendliest species.

I wonder which one's the nastiest, I've heard a few stories about T. sirtalis similis' attitude.

I found similis to be quite tame... it was the Florida Blues that were nasty.

my T. similis was not at all aggressive, just more shy than my other garters

Mikhaila will be getting a pair of T. radix from Scott after our move
they'll be relatives of yours then
we had one a couple of years ago and at the time she was my favourite - even over Sammy

Looking forward to seeing some pics of your plains garters. I have a t. radix on order from Scott myself. An Axanthic female. In addition to the axanthic plains, I also have a Red-sided (paratalis) and FL. blue striped (similis) on order. All females.
