    58 young times the 7 months it took me to sell one garter baby divided by the number of months in a year, equals... 34 years.

    And that's why I'm not jumping into garter breeding with both feet.

    @Stefan; Good thing its a bit easier to sell them around here. I believe all but the holdbacks found a home within 4 months....

    I caught a huge eastern garter some years back that had 82 babies it was amazing she was around 37" and the babies were around 4" to 5" only one didn't make it because he was born deformed the rest were super healthy. I kept them for about 1 month and then i adopted them out as pets. I put 1 snake at a time in delicups and made sure each one ate and the ones that didn't went in a container so i could try again the next day you talking about a lot of work.
