It's already getting a bit better. I put Vick's on it to help cool it down. The redness and some of the pain is gone but you can see where the skin got burnt. Instead of healing, I just hope I smarten up so I won't do it again.

Re: Its oh so quiet Shh Shh

Well the misery just seems like it's never going to end. After a solid month of cold rain we had one nice day that felt like spring. That was April 1st. It's been raining pretty much every day since. Today was 51 degrees, and of course, raining. Surprise, surprise. Now we're heading for a freeze tonight. (second time this week). A couple of days ago, we had accumulating (up to 5 inches in some places) dime-sized hail and heavy snow along with our thunderstorms.

I just can't believe we are still facing this crap and I have to bring plants in so they don't freeze. It's supposed to be well into spring for cryin' out loud, but if feels like December.

Look, I'm not talking about a week or two of bad weather here, this has been going on since early February without a break other than that one day. Maybe 3 dry days since Feb 1st perhaps. That's it. And it's still cold in the middle of April. Headed for a morning low of 30 degrees. Jeez!

I hope Steve and the T radix ranch are okay.
I know he's not near Mapleton, but that was just the largest of 27 tornados

Steve - glad to see you're here - was worried earlier

    Thanks for your concern.
We got nothing in our direct area. Not even any rain.
I'm glad our neigbors in Mapleton survived.
July 15th, 1988 I remember the tornado in my backyard. A lot of damage done that day.

We don't normally get "Tornados" here but back in, maybe June 2000, we got what they called a "down draft". It came straight across my front yard, took down my 30' or so pine tree and kept on going. My husband had left for a golf trip that day and I had just gotten home with 3 of my kids at the time. Never knew the tree was down until it was over. If it had come from the North a little bit, the tree would have landed on my living room and/or bedrooms where we all were. My first clue was the fact that the wind started up and was goinf sideways past my back windows. That and it looked kinda green. Very strange.

[QUOTE=infernalis;156930]Pretty people make more money is undeniable.. That just forces the less than beautiful to work harder and become better at their craft.

reading your comment about actors and THEIR CRAFT brought a smile to my face,
like most people i have watched the award shows where these overpaid self adoring people keep making reference's to "their craft" give me a break what they do is what we all did as children, its play acting nothing more nothing less, some do it a little better than others but it's still play acting. what a shower of pretentious, obnoxious, attention seeking, repellent, odious individuals they really are.
wait a minute my heart rate is falling my pupils are becoming less dilated the veins in my neck and face are shrinking and becoming less obvious and my breathing has become normal again, pheeww sorry about that rant everyone, but whatever you do please never mention bankers to me

To be honest, I prefer British over Hollywood any day. And my favourites do a really good job of making me smile... and one cannot call the likes of Rowan Atkinson, Tim McInnerny, Hugh Laurie, Robert Webb, David Mitchell, etc.. "Hollywood eye candy"

They work hard to keep the audience watching.

One very nice thing about all the rain we've been having... The ground is so saturated, the worms can't stay below the surface because they will drown. Scored these worms this morning very easily. All I had to do was stir up some leaf piles to find these worms hiding underneath. All my snakes are so stuffed with worms now, and I still got enough to stuff them all about 5 more times. Got quite a few earthworms and also a couple dozen gigantic night crawlers. Free snake food, courtesy of mother nature.

Snakes look very satisfied right about now.

It's cloudy here, but dry as a bone... That has been dried... Bones aren't dry.

My worms are starting to breed, I found some babies in my containers. Their about as thick as a pinhead and half an inch long. Does that count?
