In a matter of 5 days. The last two (smaller ones) he's locked up with before brumation, and I've heard they can hold it over the winter.

I noticed him attempting to lock up with one of the smaller ones last night as well (it's been over a week since they all came out).

He went nuts when I originally put him with the two females he'd been separate from. I'd been leery about putting him in with them, because he's wild caught and they're CBB. I haven't seen anything wrong with him, and since I lost their male I went ahead put them together to see what would happen.

It may just be longer than that. Red Sided garters can store sperm for years from a single mating. Probably not much different for Pugets.

Yeah I brought him out two days before the females and the entire time he wouldn't sit still, cruising all over the aquarium (50 gallon). I had multiple friends ask what was wrong with him lol. As soon as I'd drop a female in there he'd stop and look at her, but as soon as she warmed up enough (to be touched I guess) he would pounce on her. Within 30 minutes each time he had locked up.
