    Re: Stefan's garters

Well of course I forgot my scales at my second address, so no update on the possibly gravid female's weight this week.

She did however do something completely against her character: She refused food.

Be careful .... if she's like mine she'll want a bite. Although it seems your girl likes to follow a normal pattern.

    Is that unusual for her?

Extremely. This snake's feeding response is normally triggered by everything.

Still nothing new, starting to think it's a false alarm. Forgot my scales again. Offered her a mouse, she bit it once and ran away.

Noticed that the timer is turning off the lights in her enclosure roughly a minute earlier every day. It was 22:15 last Thursday, 22:09 today. And yes, we don't use the AM/PM system here.

Mmmm ... bad timer? .... Or does it go on one minute earlier every day too?

The joys of technology ... well, at least you know it's still creating the same photoperiod and that you will have to become nocturnal to adjust to the shifting cycle eventually

I'm already nocturnal. I get more sleep between noon and midnight, than between midnight and noon.
