However I think Anker is actually a ribbon snake rather than a garter, T. sauritus sackenii I'd say. I had one that looked just like yours.

.... although I have to say that, considering the location and the large parietal spots, that is a T.proximus probably rutiloris or diabolicus from what I could find to compare.
Could you get us some good photos of the head and close up body shots?

i was the same way! i have had tons of reptiles, but got my first garter not too long ago, found this site, and BAM!! all the information you can think of and great people who will be glad to help! welcome!

It's definitely a ribbon snake. My guess is a peninsula ribbon. (T. sauritus sackenii)
But what do I know?
