    Hello, this is my first garter snake :D but not my first reptile :P

    Hi everyone i totally love this forum i have being reading it for a week and it's awesome, people here is nice and you guys are always willing to help. My name is Eduardo i'm mexican and i love reptiles but this is mi first garter snake, its name is Anker. Say hi!!!!!!

    Hi Eduardo and Anker! Welcome to the forum!
    However I think Anker is actually a ribbon snake rather than a garter, T. sauritus sackenii I'd say. I had one that looked just like yours.
    Too many snakes! 15 species and counting. 2.2 plus Crested geckos 2.2 Gargoyle geckos 0.2 Chihuahua 2.1 evil cats.

    Greetings .... although I have to say that, considering the location and the large parietal spots, that is a T.proximus probably rutiloris or diabolicus from what I could find to compare.
    Could you get us some good photos of the head and close up body shots?
    Keeping - 'Florida blue' sirtalis, concinnus, infernalis, parietalis, radix, marcianus and ocellatus.

    i just took a look at the papers, it is a T. proximus i'll be taking more photos soon, thanks guys

    i was the same way! i have had tons of reptiles, but got my first garter not too long ago, found this site, and BAM!! all the information you can think of and great people who will be glad to help! welcome!

    It's definitely a ribbon snake. My guess is a peninsula ribbon. (T. sauritus sackenii)
    But what do I know?
