    Re: Barak666's garters

So Orange, is still pretty active, in fact I didn't really see the other two last week. But today "guy" was active, I caught it in a weird position, Was lucky enough to have the camera close, so here is Guy climbing.

The best I can get of it tails, possible to sex with it? The fact that Guy and Jaunas, outgrow Orange, let me think Guy and Jaunas might be femal while Orange a boy. If I happen to be able to take picture of every one tail I wil post them here.

The underside of the tail at the vent would be great.
I'm leaning towards "girl" but will hold out for a better photo.
    Whatever the sex, beautiful snake.

    Re: Barak666's garters

    Long time no see.

Since the last update, Orange almost disappears, a chance I spot it some times, otherwise I would have thought it fled the enclosure. Guy and Jaunas are more active. Fews weeks ago I feed them mice pinky, they seems to have like it, cause since then they refuse the night crawlers. The problem is the pinkies are hard to come by here, so I chop some of the pinkies I had left and I use it to scent the worms, so far its work.

At first I put the worms or the pinkies in a plate and they had a day to eat, but on the Charles's advise, I start feeding them with tongs for them to associate me with food. So far it work, at least with Guy and Jaunas who fear less my hands. While presenting a worm to Jaunas yesterday, it ignore the worm, climb the tongs and my hand, it explore the top of my hand, he even enter his head in my fist before turning back to his branch, the trusted start to build up . So I hope in few weeks to be able to handled them and take picture of the underside for sexing ... slowly but surely.

Since the moment where I need to separate them arrive fast I am looking to make a simple enclosure for the one I will be obligate to take of the main enclosure. I might have found an empty aquarium of 20" X 10" X 15" (LxlxH), can a garter have a good life in an enclosure of this size? The best would be to keep them together in the big enclosure, but I'm probably not lucky enough to have three snakes of the same sex ... future will tells.

    Two pictures taken yesterday

    Jaunas (the biggest one)

And Guy while getting out of bed (he always sleep in the cranial box)

    Re: Barak666's garters

Wow, I just saw that my last update was almost a year ago, time pass with lightning speed ...

So I'm still alive and my little beasts too. I had some feeding problems in the beginning of winter as Guy stop eating. I don't have an empty fridge to brumate them so I try to make it eat. It refuse every worms I gave to him, until I was able to put my hands on mice pinkies. I used them to scent the worm and it worked on the first try. Since them he get his appetite back. They all eat 2-3 big nightcrawlers every 2-3 days. They continue to grows, shed, eat and s**t. They are pretty active and, as always, its a pleasure to watch them go around their little world. I recently add some fake flower to add some colours and some more space for them to explore. They are now close to 2 feet long and are able to climb every part of their enclosure pretty fast. I did not take many picture, but here some few taken during the lasts weeks/months. Guy and Orange are easiest to picture as they go out more often during day time than Jaunas (who is more active once the lights are off).

    Jaunas:

    And Orange

As I'm limited in the number of picture the rest of Orange will follow
