Cold weather moving back into the area.
Not a bad thing as it will give me a chance to setup the new camera without disturbing any snakes.
I think I'll leave the old camera under there and just direct it to a different spot along the wall.
I've always though these snakes were using more than one part of this wall for a hibernaculum due to the numbers that emerge in the Spring.

    Lights, camera, action!
Well, two out three isn't so bad.
I've installed the new color camera and lights.
Now, if Spring would only get here.
Hopefully, there will be a warm day in the next few weeks and I can capture some video with snake/s in it.

What exactly are we looking at here?

EDIT: Nevermind. I went back to the beginning of the thread. For some reason, I was under the impression this whole time that this camera was fixed on a hole inside the house. I now see it's an outside entrance behind the siding. Sure would be nice to get some special equipment in all the nooks and crannies of the house to see snakes overwintering inside. A virtual tour of their world from their perspective would be awesome. Apparently the equipment needed isn't outrageously expensive either. This new upgrade you've done is certainly a big improvement though.

They don't have access to the inside of the house from this location. They only go down the block wall.
I have another location above my basement family room where I think snake live during the Summer. I've just focused on this site for now.
