    That is weird the way he faded. I've only seen the opposite happen - snakes gaining color/intensity. Most normal concinnus' don't change at all and I've seen baby hypoerythristic one's where I find the adults and so I think those start out hypo right from the start. Never considered that they could start out looking normal. Very interesting.

    It is well known that red radixes don't start out that way so that's no surprise.

    Erythristic Easterns are known to take a while to colour up fully too . Similis tend towars melanism with age. I've noticed colour shifts in most of my snakes but, like you said, this is usually an increase in intensity.

    True, but most of the time you can see a hint of red. This snake looked redless from birth until about 3 months old. Then the red tint started.
    I've never had one do that before.
