I'd like to introduce this little female. She a red phase T.radix. She was born last Summer to a rescue snake and was rather colorless at birth and for the longest while.
As you can see she's coloring up nicely. She's a year or more away from any breeding.
I hope she continues to red-up as she gets older.

She's in a radix tank. I don't have any Eastern garter snakes

Well, there will be a zillion in my yard come spring...and I'm sure some will need a home as I will not be equipped to take care of all of them...babies will be getting in my basement.

I noticed in the photo she's a little dirty. I'll get her a bath and then get another photo. She's developing red on her face.
When she was born she looked like a normal, non-red radix. I'm sure glad I kept her.
She is a pretty girl.
