for those of you who didnt know checker (my snake) hasnt been eating for 5,6, maybe 7 weeks and i was stumped as for why.i repeatedly tried to feed him every possible method i knew but he always either tried to get away, or would use the warm pinky as a pillow. well like a voice from the lord(of your preference) above he said
"did you get him a heat lamp yet? he might have his days/nights schedual mixed up"
well i knew christmas morning i would have a new heat lamp(since my old one broke 2 months earlier(note he didnt immeadeatly stop eating)) but i had my doubts it would do any good...well today was day three of him using the light again. i went to pick him up desiring an oasis from the death of jim and the tattered man in the "Red Badge Of Courage" and of course he ran to the corner to avoid me (he's kinda anti social until you pick him up)
well as i reached my hand down he looked at my fingers with the eyes of a sinner and i thought "haha he's faking a stRike position maybe ill wiggle m,y finger like it was food (and that i trained him to bite anything thats up and wiggling like such) and apparently for the first time ever he struck at me!
of course i (with my "amazing reflexes that don't work when id like them to in tennis") reflexes i withdrew my hand, scratching my elbow on the black plastic on the side of the tank during the process of. Lord behold either
A) he was hungry
or
B) he was in the worst foul, mr.grumpy,im gonna be your dark cloud today, anti-social moods ever!
so i got a white cup thawed out a pinky's rear torso and held it in front of him in the tank. i had to keep shifting the cup so as to avoid loosing MY PINKY! but when he finally saw it he went in and ate it and i released the cup so he wouldnt burst out and get aspen on his food. well he came out and i moved my hand to pick up the cup and he he looked at my hand with a clear message
"get the f*** away from my portal to food you b****!" well i could see he was still hungry as he started staring into the empty cup with anticipation after i withdrew my hand so i had to get his attention with my left hand of the outside of the glass and try to sneak the cup away with my right...well after 2-5min. and him turning around to face my other hand as if saying
"go ahead move that last inch see what happens!"
i finnally got the cup out and thawed out a pinky head and put it in there yet again having to move the cup as to protect my fingers in the danger zone. i didnt let go of the cup tho and after he swallowed it i yanked the cup out and closed the lid...he looked at me now with the eyes of a kid on the street in one of those christmas movies
"please sir can i have some more?"
i had to tell him (and myself)
"no more till tomarrow!"
he then presumed to slither round his cage like a hyper active snake for a few hours then either out of tireness or relizing the fact that the lid was insulated, closed and patted down, escape is hopeless! he retired to his cave.

well somehow laltey iv been wanting to minor in creative writing. haha guess i do go off topic/the deepend/on a rant/etc.
