Hopefully, I'm not. For those outside of Quebec, the weather here is abnormally warm for this part of year, the seasonal normal is -4°C to -12°C and from the beginning of December we have temperature range from -2°C to 15°C. So what is suppose to fall as snow fall as rain. The consequence is that the rivers of the region overflow as in spring. Here in Haute-Gaspésie we are less touch by that than Gaspé (5 evacuations here compare to few hundred there)

The other problem is the absence of ice on the St-Lawrence Golf (to warm for ice) combine to the December high tides and the North-east wind who blows up to 110 km/h last week-end. All these factors combine together lead to the exceptional tide erosion we had (mostly the 6-7 December) but the 21-22 are going to be the highest tides of the month (here 3.3 meters), that alone is impressive, but when the 4 to 6 meters waves come into play, it is devastating for the coast (who is normally protect by the ice cover). This combination of elements is rare, the last souvenir I got was 6 years ago, and it was less destructive that this time. To give you an idea, the coastal road (main road) was cut in half at some place by the tide/waves and many coastal houses were floods (if not completely destroyed). A pal of mine just lose 15 feet of is terrain. In my case I'm not directly affect by that, but some people here are going to have a hard Christmas.

To come back to the snakes here another picture of the orange one (the only one active yesterday, while the others two bask to digest all day long).

    Thanks

Here the Yellow one that we decide to call Jaunas (while in French Jaune mean yellow, so I had this idea of modifying the name Jonas) if we find him to be a male, if a female we will find something else

and the orange one (bit blur my camera have difficulty to focus on them)

    Re: Barak666's garters

Here a picture of guy taken this afternoon 24h after he eat a quite large quantity of nightcrawlers

And I was wondering something. If I keep cleaning, feeding etc without trying to touch them, will they come to trust me (my hands) and came to me willingly? Cause went it is for feeding etc it is alright, but if my hand come to close of them they flee rapidly into the plants where they crawl around the stems so I'm not able to taken them (don't want to stress them to much by force taking them).

Beautiful snakes and beautiful enclosure! My girl, Selena, wraps herself around her little fake bush and hides all the time too...

    Re: Barak666's garters

I'm back from Montreal, where we went for Noël et Jour de l'An. My father took care of my littles beasts during my absence. Everything went alright, except that they always hide from him, he wasn't able to see more that 2 at the time. He fear one of them fled, but they show themselves when I arrived (I found a few shed soon after).

Here they are while I bring them a plate of worms.

They saw me coming ... (I try to get their 3 heads the best my camera can, Jaunas is nearly not visible in the down right corner)

And a nice one of the three of them assaulting the plate together (from top to bottom, Orange, Guy and Jaunas)

I'm quite impatient to discover their final coloration, how many shed(/time) does it normally takes for them to get their definitive coloration?

    Re: Barak666's garters

They do get to know and trust only individual people.
My garters trust me but become shy when others are around.
Nice to have you back and to hear your snakes are doing well.
