Re: Exotics ban in Germany: Vote against it here

I add my vote on your site.

It remind me of the seal hunting case, where pseudo-ecologist groups (as Peta and all his clones) give a deform vision of the subject (the only reason they are against this hunt isn't the seals safety (they are more that 5 millions Greenland seals here in the St-Lawrence Gulf), it is about the cutes pictures the babies ones make, so it help them to get millions and millions of dollars from people who thinks only with their heart without reasoning (ex : awww they are so cute, what kind of barbarian people can kill these littles cuties furry baby, here I give my money to these groups...)

It is truly a subject who make me see red .

I hope for you that the monetary and mediatic powers of these pseudo-ecologists groups won't work for your rights to keep exotic animals, as it worked with demonizing the seal's hunting. Good luck.

Just want to give my opinion on this little bit here. By their own admission, animal rights groups are NOT environmentalists, even if there's occasionally some overlap. Generally speaking, they do not give a flying f about ecology.

Re: Exotics ban in Germany: Vote against it here

    You're right Stefan.

We can see that in some of there actions, as in two thousands something, when they came near here in the Iles de la madeleine, with Sir Paul McCartney and the Humane society of United-States for a photoshoot on the ice, clothed in bright red/orange lifesuit with cute little babies seals (who are not even hunt) and filming the hunters who use the hagapik to kill the seal (a council of veterinarian conclude it was a quick and safe way to kill a seal when use properly).

They used to came here with something like 2 planes and 3 helicopters and then propose (in their videos) to save theses cute beasts buy using synthetic fur (made out of petrol) instead of natural one, quite pathetic.

The movie Phoque : le film describe the reality of these fishermen who see each years a bunch of fanatic in helicopter who come to insult, take pictures (who will be denatured) and provoke them. (sadly I don't know if there is a traduction of it)

Whatever I will stopped it here, I trully hope the European exotic animal's owner wont taste to much of the animalist's media and financial power.

Sorry if my long curve on that seal's hunt subject is a bit out of the initial subject (while keeping the animalists in commun)
