Uniting erythristic Eastern strains

Very very nice garter snake congrat!!One question why do we called them erythristic to me it's brown ....not red!?

That is, what they will become like.

There is a taxonomy for color morphs but it does not meet with all occuring patterns. Some misstated declarations have made their way to common usage. And some rules are predestinated to missunderstanding!
From the correct use of declaration rules: Flames and erythristic should be
called hyper erythristic and only snakes with a completly red pattern could be named erythristic.
