It was a long night. I had a restless snapping turtle(Tank). He wanted to stay up after lights out.

Tonight, Tank is in bed like a good snapping turtle.
I guess a belly full of pinkies is a good turtle sleep aid.
It also works well on snakes.

I also find keeping these fascinating animals very calming and pleasurable.

Although there are moments when it's frustrating.

Whether I'm feeling bored and restless, or downright depressed, I go to my garter snakes and they always do something to make me smile, even if it's nothing but sitting there basking and interacting with themselves.

I guess a belly full of turkey does the same to humans ( if itīs not too much).

I always have to finish my work prior to starting "snake watch" otherwise I would get lost in time

I got news for you, stop blaming the turkey. I hate baked turkey and didn't touch a bite of it. I served turkey but I only ate honey baked ham and prime rib, and I was just as sleepy as everyone else in the house this past thursday!
