My new eastern Black Necks have arrived!

    These guys are sooo tiny!

Hello all. My name is Adam and I keep Boas, White Lip Pythons, and a Unicolor Cribo. I am excited to be working with these gorgeous garters.

They were fed frogs by the breeder and haven't been converted over to pinkies yet.

I am hoping they will cooperate and make the switch for me.

What a great looking pair you have there. Are these from Corey Roelke in Texas?

I got a trio from him and I'm really pleased with the colors. I'll try the pinkies in a month or so. I feel they are just to small for a pinkie (and I'm not one for mualting the dead) and sent later.

Welcome and I still like your scrubbs ... oh didn't i say that already.

    Hey Brain,

Yes. These are the last two from Corey. It will be good for us to compare notes on how our young ones are moving along in their development.

IF your not switching to pinkies for a month, what are you going to feed in the mean time? Corey sent me his last two frogs, though I want to use them for scenting since I know they took frogs with Corey. The frogs are so little I am afraid of them getting away and disappearing under the furniture.

I figured I would get some guppies for them and start to convert them over in a few weeks when I can pick up some pinkies from a local reptile show.

I picked up some tilapia, but they are needing stimulation from something that moves I think to be triggered into feeding for now.

thank you all for the welcome!

    Adam

It will be good for us to compare notes on how our young ones are moving along in their development. Yea lets keep up with the growth of these babie.

IF your not switching to pinkies for a month, what are you going to feed in the mean time? Well we do have salamanders here, and a small tree frog. However, both have gone into hibernation. We have been in the low 40’s out here the last two weeks. I have them on guppies just now. Like you said I belive they need that flopping action. Salmon is very fresh out here so is the tilapia and my T.s. fitchi don't even blink when thats in the bowl. So I hope to continue with the fish for all then slowly sent pinkies.

Corey sent me his last two frogs, though I want to use them for scenting since I know they took frogs with Corey. The frogs are so little I am afraid of them getting away and disappearing under the furniture. I can imagine dealing with the frogs Corey sent, GL.

I figured I would get some guppies for them and start to convert them over in a few weeks when I can pick up some pinkies from a local reptile show. Mouse Direct has good prices on pinkies .. I think .15 each. I had to use Big Cheese Rodents in Texas due to S/H. The pinks I got are just day olds so they are really small.

I picked up some tilapia, (I haven't tried it but I'll do just that and keep you advised. I leave the guppies to flop and come back lrt they are gone maybe i can use the salmon and/or tilapia) but they are needing stimulation from something that moves I think to be triggered into feeding for now.

    Adam

    I'll post more pics later.

Mine came from Joanna Duby, but they all eat chopped up trout just fine.
