I kinda looks like she might have went in reverse (pulled her head backwards) during her burrowing and damaged the scales that way. Is there any sort of material wedged in there?

At any rate, it doesn't look too serious. At least not at this time.

Re: brownish under scales on chin

Well it hasn't really changed much since, here's a pic from today that i took (highlighted part is problem part)

Can damage that that happen from reversing. And will that go away after her next shed. I've stopped feeding them (mind you only the one female has been eating lately) to git them ready to brumate. I'm hopefully going to be moving as of December 1st, well gitting the keys to my own place then, moving wouldn't be till the following weekend. and then I'm going to figure out what I'm going to do about brumating them.
But ConcinnusMan if you think that it's not serious and that it's just from reversing then I won't be worried as much.
    Thanks all

There doesn't seem to be anything but maybe a tiny bit of dirt, it doesn't pain her to touch it or anything.

Either way, a little iodine swab and/or antibiotic ointment for a while can't hurt.

ok sounds good I will try that this week, and to keep her in a separate container for a short bit after i swab her is ok. just so that it doesn't just wipe off or something.
