I'd be worried about the monitor eating something it shouldn't... or eating a mouse that's eaten something *it* shouldn't.

Thing is, snakes are very stealthy, which is one reason I love them!

That won't make it better for a monitor lol hit up varanus.nl go to the forums search the monitor you wants scientific name and you'll be put off of getting a monitor and putting it in your room to free roam lol i plan on getting a Varanus Glauerti and the baby will be in a 4'x4'x4' cage for about 2 years then he will probably go into a 4'long by 4' wide by 6' high and i feel that may be two small by the way this monitor gets around 2-3 feet with about 1 foot of dirt sand mix and a hot spot that is about 3 feet long with like 3 30w bulbs that will get his hot spot about 140-150 degrees and with monitors you want a variety of temperatures and humidities there is quite a bit more that needs to be in that enclosure just don't feel like posting it all.Sorry for the lecture there i just take a little more time to explain monitors because people get them and seem to think they're anoles I'm in no way a expert when it comes to varanus but i know the basics lol.
