Perhaps it is. Soon I'll be receiving a pair of Iowa albino babies that were produced by breeding with a high red like Rudolf. I am told that many of the babies, albino and regular, do "color up" like that.

    Re: Rudolph the Red-Nosed Radix

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times; it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness.

Seems to fit as I lost(got loose) Rudolph sometime last night. This morning when I went to put his group back I found him missing. I felt terrible as I have such big plans for that young man. This afternoon I walked into the big snake room and spotted him on the floor. He gave a merry chase but I won in the end. He's now in lockup for 24 hours(just kidding)
Now to the real reason for this post.
While I fed Rudolph and his band of merry radixes I notice he(Rudolph) was a rather dominating snake. He was aggressively eating but he was also well aware of what was going on in the enclosure. As he was grabbing for a piece of worm a fight broke out on the other side of the enclosure and he headed for that location as he passed by the food dish simultaneously grabbing a bite of food. He rushed to the fight but by the time he got there it was over. Then he heard a fight breakout under the hide. He almost did a flip trying to get to the hide to see what was going on. He was all over the place like a pinball but at no time did it seem out of control.

    I like his attitude.

I guess he figures if there's something worth fighting over, he wants a piece of that! BTW, that entire group is some good looking radixes. I love the one's with spots that contrast with the background color. Very nice.

Rudolph continues to color up and grow.
I'm hoping he will be ready to breed this Spring.
I would love to have a nice, large litter of red radixes.
I'll even take a small litter.

Once you get that darn teleporter working you are welcome to come to the Ranch whenever you want.
I'll even send a few(dozen) radixes home with you.

This is great Steve! You having some fine red radixes to breed sure is good news for the hobby. If you are ever willing to let some of the babies go eventually, that is.

I would love to have a pair myself.
