Yeah - I like that the people who are inspired to own garters are doing so for a genuine interest and love of the little beasties, rather than as a way to enhance or display their own masculinity or attempting to compensate for lack there-of.

Indeed, that's why I love my boyfriend, he loves garter snakes He's just scared to hold one of mine because they get pretty defensive around people they don't know.

Oh! I made progress with Mama's occasional hissy fits, she's the most tame snake I've ever seen now! I had her out while i was watching a movie and she sat on top of my head for a good 30 minutes (they like exploring in my hair ) And she slept in my arm though half of the movie. Normally she's try to get away and/or somehow jump out of my hands. She hasn't done that once! If only Snakey were like that haha, he likes exploring too much for me to hold him much, he's literally everywhere... He's gone in my shirt, in one of my pants pockets, in my hair and attempted to go into my ear! Haha.

No, I don't have an excuse. A croc is too dangerous, besides I'll be the one paying for his monitor and tegu's :P He's a spoiled brat I don't want a croc to harm my future hubby :P I don't mind him having garter snakes or even a boa or python, but no crocs... haha

Maybe :P it depends on how much it'd cost when I move closer to him, buying a tegu and monitor plus the tank and food is expensive enough
