For the strips I mainly use now I buy Trout fillets with the skin on & use a pair of sharp scissors to cut into strips to be frozen. The skin is hard to cut otherwise and works like a charm with the scissors. Then I trim off the strips into bite sized pieces on feeding day. The bite sized pieces thaw quicker too.

At the moment, I am using thawed out creek chubs that I caught a few months ago. I will stock My freezer with these all summer long so that I have enough for winter/fall. I rotate them in with pinks and crawlers ad the occasional frog leg!

Okay, I followed the recipe and I now have TONS of frozen fish jello. And my guys don't care for it. I kinda gotta thaw it, mix it with a bit of water, put some earthworms in it and hope my guys manage to eat some of the slush along with the worm parts.

    Any other suggestions????

Yeah, forget the jello and just feed them the fish if they like the fish. Personally I don't see the point in this stuff. I just give them the chunks of trout, sometimes with the skin on. But then, this isn't an exclusive diet. They also get pinkies and fuzzies a few times a month, and whatever else they'll eat, rotated in.
