It's official. 27 years of Law Enforcement is over. I finished my career on Thursday. I still need to turn in some equipment but I'm as happy as can bewith leaving. Looking forward to doing something else. I will miss working with the youth of our area but I had to call it quits sometime. Here in Iowa we can retire as young as 50. I waited until I was 51 but still feel blessed to have had a great career. I have 10 years until all my kids are grown and I want to spend as much time with them as possible.
It's time to break out the bikes and kayaks.

Steve! Congratulations you lucky dog!
I hope you were thrown a big nice whoop-de-do to celebrate! What are your plans (besides the kayaks and bikes)? a second career? part time job? Volunteer work? I know you'll spend lots of time with your children but you must have some other plans brewing as well??? I know with the fans you have on this forum you could open a bed and breakfast at your house and always have company from us silly snake people! Wow! what a milestone! Good Job!!!
