It's interesting that they are in the same area as the snakes belly button which usually only involves a few scales but then heals over . I've seen that the split scales of the belly button heal completely.
I still must say "very interesting"

We have very interesting snakes here in Connecticut!!! I'll have to check the other squiggles to see if they have the same thing.
