    Re: Jelly Bean...?

Sorry I missed the question last night. Yes this was in reference to my Puget female. I'm pretty sure she's torturing me. Now she's not displaying any of the signs she was last night. I thought what was laying in there was a jelly bean, but I could be wrong I guess....

I would, but the camera I use to take close up pictures is at Best Buy getting repaired...

I wish I knew what the typical gestation period for a Puget was, because that would help here, but I haven't get any specific time periods.

I know that WA T. s. concinnus (another sirtalis living about 90 miles to the south of Puget Sound) gestate at least 100 days, sometimes up to 120 days, whereas T. ordinoides in the same area usually pop within 90 days.

I think you told me that before. I guess it was just a bowel movement I saw last night then. Darn

Yeah, I'm going through that right now with a nearly due gravide ordinoides female. A little weird behavior, some twitching, tail lifting, this must be it, and then....

I feel you on that, my girl hasn't been able to sit still for a while now. Definitely tail lifting going on here. I know I saw what looked like muscle contractions... drama queen. lol

Yeah. Like the pregnant woman that wants to draw attention or change the subject. All she has to do is embrace her belly and make a grunting noise.

That ordinoides girl I speak of, can't possibly be too far away. And, for the first time she has refused food the past 2 days. Oh wait, she just burped. Now she's begging. Figures.

But seriously, when very gravid, it can look like having a bowel movement, or only passing ureates, seems to take a lot of effort and drama. That's pretty much normal. A lot of pressure on those organs from the growing babies ya' know.

After she was done torturing me, I gave her some salmon. She ignored it for a good half hour till I moved it to the water. Then ate it. I took the heat out from under it as well, just in case she did have babies it wouldn't cook them.
