Hey lokai, where do you live? any garters around there?

Even if someone were to give you a snake for free, shipping is going to cost.

Re: *Sigh* when will babies be ready?

Hey. I live in southeast AL and I know everyone is like wow what a great climate for snakes and I would assume that too, but my experience is not leading me to believe that. I am the king of finding ratsnakes...black rats, white oak color phase...ratsnakes ratsnake ratsnakes and rattlesnakes, but apart from those two snakes I rarely see anything else. I have seen one eastern chain king this year and a crowned snake. I think similis has an overlapping territory into AL but I spent my childhood outside and never saw any garter, never met a rough green snake, and I have seen one wild hognose in my entire life. I really think that this lil nook of AL is lacking in diversity. It amazes me how everyone has these great pics of snakes they have come across such as garters and various species of nerodia.
I'd never ask for a free snake from anyone, it's my hobby and if I can't afford to buy a snake I don't really need to be looking. That said, I have chosen to spend a weekend at home instead of doing anything else in order to save funds for a snake.....I guess that's when you realize you have it bad huh?

So, how would you feel if someone offered you a free snake? That is, you pay the shipping.

That's why I mentioned it. I was going to give you one fine ordinoides but if I were you, I'd take the radix for sure!

Especially my Amy. The iowa albinos are so cool. I also like the green and gold ones.

The green and gold is the standard wild form right? They are a very stately snake. I can't wait

I'll let Steve elaborate and answer that question. There are several forms. Green and gold is not one of the most abundant if I'm not mistaken.

Regardless of their color morph they make awesome pets. Mainly it's their attitude, disposition, and seeming intelligence, and many other non-visual qualities that make them so great. In other words, any color radix would be an excellent choice as a pet. Wild OR captive bred.
