It looks like a male.... is it a juvi/young adult? Sometimes when they are in that teenager stage... it's hard to tell without the right picture!

Re: what sex is my thamnophis radix + sirtalis sirtalis hybride
i tried popping her (like in the video on youtube)
tried 4 or 5 times and nothing happend
6th time the vent opend
7th time the vent opend again and i aplied more pressure to try to invert hemipenisses
but im not sure of the results.....
no hemipenis apeard
but the vent opend up a little though(does this mean i did it correct and its a female??)
and i thinkt he or she aproximately 9 to 10 months old so i geuss she could be a early teen

I am nowhere near able to do that, I leave that to other folks.

Re: what sex is my thamnophis radix + sirtalis sirtalis hybride
Garters are difficult to pop. I've had no luck with it, (except by accident) even with known males. Besides that, there's no need. A mature garter is reasonably easy to sex based solely on sexual dimorphism; visible physical differences are significant enough. I've never had to probe or pop in order to determine sex of an adult. Often, I can even sex neonates less than 2 mos old. I'm not bragging, anyone can do it.
Some other species, such as king snakes, gopher snakes, and mexican milk snakes must be probed or popped to be sure. That is not the case with most garter snakes.
The vent will open a bit with garters, male or female when you try the popping method. Something similar is what is happening when male garters successfully court a female. It's basically rape. The male forces her to open.

after some pushing and pulling 2 white dome like objects apeard which dissapeard after releasing pressure.
so i conclude she is a female.......

if u think u can do something.... its often easyer to do it
can do attitude.... is rewarded most of the time
if someone else can do it why shouldnt you be able to do so too.
