    Cool
Its funny, some of the responses we get from people who refuse to answer to the Census. I've heard a gentleman say its 'unconstitutional' although its in the constitution. And another lady said we're wasting taxpayer money. She apparently doesnt realise how much money is paid to people like me to take the time to get answers from people, she'd save a lot if she'd just answer 2 questions and get it over with.
This week is gonna be fun. I cant complain when I get those paychecks though.

I don't think I've ever actually seen one it the mail. EVER. Been at this address since 1992. Got called to jury duty. Twice. I thought it was absolutely hilarious the last time. They wanted me to report for jury duty on the same day that MY OWN trial was to begin. Now that's funny. Didn't actually have a trial, but it was scheduled the same day.

Got them framed together(notice of trial date, and notice to appear for jury duty selection) just the for hell of it. I just filled out the form and sent it in. Reason I should be excused:

"I don't want to be late for my own trial which is scheduled to begin 30 minutes later"

They don't get money from advertising because the stations are not owned by them.
You are obviously missing the local commercials that cable companies commonly "overdub" over the national commercials.

Example.... Corning new channels, owned by Time Warner commonly sells local ads for local businesses and runs them instead of the national commercials.

Since when did MTV start advertising for our local businesses?? I must be old, because I remember when MTV actually aired music videos too.

I have lived at a dozen zip codes and several states over my life, and this practice is common from Florida on up to NY, and out west to Chicago......

These ads are sold by the cable company, and profit the cable company.

OK, I was vaguely aware that this done, but you cannot sell a commercial spot that has already been sold. Obviously, the national commercial interested party did not pay to air that commercial in that particular area. That leaves the spot open in that area.

I guess I should have clarified a bit. Time warner is NOT just a cable company. Truth be known, they own the stations (where commercials are swapped) too. A company can own the station AND be the cable provider. Afterall, this company has owned TV networks long before the owned the cable network to bring you the station. If they didn't own the station, or have a vested interest in it, they wouldn't be able to to do this commercial swapping cost effectively.

What you are talking about is nothing new at all. A company like "FOX" has stations nation wide. Let's not forget, they are a movie production company AND cable networks too. Obviously, not all their stations are going to show the same commercials at the same time. It still boils down to basically the same company that is profiting. The profit is still... Well, time warner is....On-Line Information Services; Other Computer Related Services; Motion Picture and Video Production; Motion Picture and Video Distribution Periodical (time magazine) Publishers (pt); Book Publishers; Cable Networks; Television Broadcasting; Prerecorded Compact Disc (Except Software), Tape, and Record Reproducing (pt); 711211 Sports Teams and Clubs.... and I'm sure there's more.

The bottom line is they are a TV AND cable network. Of course they can swap commercials on local stations they OWN.

You're just jealous. I prefer to think of it as a perfectly aged and faded pair of denim blue genes. Sure, the nice dark indigo is nice but the faded ones are...

Well, that's something you cannot find on the store shelves. They've tried, but the artificially faded jeans are just not the same.

Besides that, blue wash is often used as primer. Hmmm... a hot rod in primer, just before the expensive paint job. That's almost as cool as faded jeans.

Not even a little and that's the truth. The typical form of concinnus is among the top 3 on my list of least appealing garters.

So I will clarify more, my local cable company is NOT owned by Time Warner and they do it.

Personally, I think it is wrong, I have caught them (due to poor editing) downright stomping on national ads.

Should be illegal, because let's say I am the CEO of proctor and gamble, I signed a multi million dollar contract for my ads to appear during "American idol" (or whatever is "popular") and some local cable company advertises for "wolf hollow Indian gift shop" over the top of the ads I paid for, that just seems wrong.

There is also a little term called "syndication" where a 60 second slot is left open just for local advertising, but whenever I see "fucillo auto mall" trounce all over a Gillette ad, I just know that wrongdoing took place.
