My little Brown Snake (Storeria dekayi)

Yeah, what is that lump? At first I thought it was just the way the snake was sitting on a chunk of substrate but now I'm not so sure.

What is the lump at the back, just before the tail?
Is it a male?

Cancer tumor, she passed away a few months ago. She was in my care six years, the longest recorded life was 7 years.

She was a young adult when I got her, so she did OK, Miss her a lot.
