The closest I have ever seen was once one of my Dekayi who lives with a garter had crawled into the garter's shed..

Admit it. If there was a pile of leaves, or cut hair lying before you, you would be tempted to play in it.
But then again, he might have been looking to crawl through a tight space to help out with the last half. Just so happens the only immediately available tunnel or space was his own skin! Not so crazy. You see an opening, you crawl through it. How was he supposed to know it was his own skin when a dog doesn't get any less joy from chasing his tail because he is blissfully unaware that the tail is attached to himself!
