    Also, nobody can predict the outcome of crossbreeding or selective breeding. Still, nature has a mechanism in place. Some people are trying to breed concinnus without the lateral spots but normal coloration from the neck up. Some have come very close. I think this is because some wild concinnus are already close to that goal. I've even had a few litters where I saw a few almost lacking lateral red spots. Selective breeding could produce all black bodied concinnus. If natural selection cannot do it, perhaps artificial selection can. But that cannot be predicted.

    Some of the questions you have about recessive traits can be answered by visiting the link above. bookmark it, keep it handy. I use it often.

    Ummm.. I must retract. It seems as though the wizard I liked so much has changed. I don't like it one bit. Confusing and broken IMHO. I have contacted the people responsible and asked them to go back to the old version. It was easy to understand. Now it sucks.

    one of the best books on genetics and morphs is The Corn Snake Morph Guide by Charles Pritzel once you pick it up you cant put it down, great info! even tho its about corns you can apply the information to anything
