snake related science fair

at my school its manditory to do sciencefair and ur allowed to have partners if ur above freshman level and arent in cb tech (recomended freshman class it allows u to woprk on sciencefair in class) and a really good friend of mine (were both sophmores) didnt take cb tech as a freshman so shes takn it now but the cb tech teacher that she has is also my envormental science ap teacher! i asked and he said she could drop her project and we could work as a team! now for the snake part! this what we were thinkn " does heat &humidity affect how many times a checkered garter snake will taste the air?"! we can do this during school but she (partner) since is in cb tech still has to turn in certain stuff wich includes 3 sources and i know we want this website but it has to contain "relitve info." so we would GREATLY appreciate it if you all could give us some good info on the project (heat & humidty affect how many times a snake will taste the air?" and possably some other sites and books about it ... THANK YOU ALL ...and im trying to find her a garter to but that one in my back yard hasnt shown up in months but shes interested

If I had Checkered garters I would be glad to help. Sorry. Sounds like a fun project.

Does your experiment have to remain specifically about checkered garters or can you diverse to garters in general? You may be able to obtain more information/data, especially from members of this forum , if you open the parameters of your project a little wider. We may be able to provide you with some data and/or observations. when is your project due?

i bet i can change it to garters in general but ill need some from every speciesor i can narrow it to the ones you all have... post that u would like to participate and ill pm you all my cell# and email adreess... im thinkn ill change the project to the spicies of snaakes the people whom are willing to help have....not sure when its due
