Steve, I hope she gets better soon. I just finished up a week-long anti-biotic and soaking regimen for kük, tiny, and medium snake. They had some sort of infection on their tails. They're ok now, thank goodness.

Will be thinking of Spot. Keep us posted when you can.

Steve, could the contractions of birthing caused the broken rib? I know it is not usually a problem, but maybe a baby was positioned wrong? Anyway, I'm glad it is not more serious and I'm praying that she will heal quickly.

Sorry to hear Spot is having health troubles. Hope everything gets back to normal soon.
Nice little brood she had, though! Congrats!

Good thought but the injury is well above any baby location. I'll try to get the x-ray posted today. My biggest concern is with the parasite problem. This is new territory for me. She's my first confirmed case. Now, I'm worried for all of mine. At $25 a screen I can't afford to get them all checked. Makes getting a good microscope, pushed towards the top of my wish list.

Made a call to the Vet. and found out her parasite is Capillaria. Here's a link to take a look at the little nasty.

Ah, I couldn't remember exactly where you said the problem was.

    Re: Spot's Close

3 months have come and gone. Spot is still injured and her future is unknown. I was cleaning out her baby's enclosure and got a group photo. The little scrubs are growing and eating as often as I will feed them. Twice a week is doing well for them. They've got about 6-9 months before I'll separate them out. They are a great group and love to be held. My kids love getting them out.
