Is that what it looks like when they shed?

don't think so, because she just shed a week ago or so, and this is not showing up on the other pics
but it doesn't really look like light reflections, does it?

I would have to go with shed. Don't take any stock in my answer, since 2 months ago I didn't even know they shed their tongues.
I would say it's left over shed. That's my expert opinion

Of course, we all know what an expert is.................. an "X" is a hasbeen and a "spert" is what come out of the end of a hose.

the photos aren't very good, because I didn't want to stress them a lot fresh out of the box, but well . . .

these two are a melanistic eastern and an anery parietalis - both males
a really awful shot and barely possible to tell which is which



this is a female myrtle beach flame



another flame and a nebraska albino - both female
