silverlings - a hit at my house

    thanks Shannon
I got some of the SF Bay frozen silverlings and some of my snakes really like them
but best of all - it's the first time Jade, the maritime I got from Reed, ate anything dead at my house; she's been a bit difficult to feed and although I do have worms in my yard now, they're not large and it takes a lot to keep her fed
she took silverling! the first two pieces very hesitantly, but then she went looking for more
    yay - another food option

yay!!! My snakes thrive on silversides as a good 40% of their total diet. And they are very easy to sneak calciumvitamins onto/into!!!

Rhea, where did you get them? I think I've seen them at the Petco near me, but I wouldn't expect them to be the cheapest source...

    oops - I meant silversides
I got them at a Petland Discounts (local chain) and they're pricey as far as fish goes ($4.69 for 100g)
I certainly don't mean to use them as a steady diet, but if they serve to transition this girl to other dead fish, I'm glad I spent the bucks
